Yun Suen Pai

Yun Suen Pai is a Senior Assistant Professor at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design and the head of the Physionetic Interactions Group within the Embodied Media Laboratory. His research focuses on Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (XR), Human-Computer Interaction, Physiological Perception, and Human Factors Engineering. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from the University of Malaya and completed his Ph.D. in Media Design at Keio University in 2018. After earning his doctorate, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Empathic Computing Laboratory in New Zealand until 2021, collaborating with various international companies on AR haptics, visual enhancements, VR navigation, machine learning applications, and assistive technologies. He is currently involved in the JST Moonshot Project, focusing on the development of cyber-avatar technologies and social system design.
