Zhutian Chen

Dr. Zhu-Tian Chen is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. His research focuses on enhancing human intelligence through data visualization. He designs, builds, and evaluates human-computer collaboration systems, enabling users to interact with information in desktop and outdoor environments. His research areas include augmented reality (AR), human-centered design, and applications of artificial intelligence. Dr. Chen has worked with the Visual Computing Group at Harvard University and the Design Lab and Creativity Lab at the University of California San Diego. He completed his PhD research in collaboration with Professor Qu Huamin at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His work has been widely published in top conferences and journals such as IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics and ACM CHI.
