Eun Kyoung Choe

Eun Kyoung Choe is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, and serves as the faculty director of undergraduate research. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Health Informatics, and Ubiquitous Computing, aiming to design and study technologies that promote personal health and well-being. Her work spans areas such as Personal Informatics and multimodal interaction, with a particular focus on the intersection of health and disabilities, and developing accessible health technologies for marginalized populations. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Microsoft Research. She serves on editorial boards for multiple academic journals and has co-chaired the health subcommittee of the CHI conference. She holds a bachelor's degree from KAIST (Korea), a master's degree in Information Management and Systems from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Washington.
