Wei Peng

Dr. Wei Peng is a professor in the Department of Media and Information at the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University. She received a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Southern California in 2006. Her research focuses on the psychological and social mechanisms of behavior change and their application to the design of interactive media for health and social change. Her work involves using conversational agents (e.g., chatbots), digital games, and mobile applications for health promotion and education, as well as broad investigations into the social and psychological effects of information and communication technology. Dr. Peng has led numerous research projects funded by renowned agencies and published over 60 articles in top-tier journals related to communication and health. Her current research centers on the application of artificial intelligence and persuasive technology in health information dissemination.
