Zijian Ding

Zijian "Jason" Ding is a Ph.D. student at the College of Information Studies, University of Maryland, College Park, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI). His research focuses on enhancing creativity and efficiency through human-AI collaboration, particularly in intent-driven user interface design and task transitions. He has published multiple papers at top-tier conferences such as CHI, C&C, and CSCW, covering topics ranging from multimodal interaction to applications of generative AI in education, design, and creativity. He has worked as a research intern at Fujitsu Research, MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, and Microsoft Research and has received several academic honors, including the Ph.D. Student Research Award and the ACM IUI Student Grant.
