Adam Perer

Adam Perer is an Associate Professor at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, as well as the co-director of the Data Interaction Group. His research focuses on integrating data visualization and machine learning techniques to create interactive visualization systems that help users interpret and analyze big data. In recent years, his work has centered around human-centered data science and deriving insights from clinical data to support data-driven medical research. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications at top-tier conferences in visualization, human-computer interaction, and health informatics. Previously, he was a research scientist at IBM Research and served as a paper chair for IEEE VIS and ACM CHI.
