Rama Adithya Varanasi

Rama Adithya Varanasi is a postdoctoral researcher at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a research fellow in the Department of Technology Management and Innovation. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with a particular emphasis on designing and developing technologies that mitigate vulnerabilities in the workplace and enhance professional autonomy. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from Cornell University, under the mentorship of Nicola Dell and Aditya Vashistha. He has worked on research teams at Google and Microsoft, driving innovation in responsible AI products. His work has been published in top-tier venues such as ACM CHI and CSCW and has been supported by funding from Bloomberg and Mozilla. He is committed to using interdisciplinary approaches to improve workplace environments and technological practices, particularly exploring the impact of generative AI on professions.
