Nurit Kirshenbaum

Nurit Kirshenbaum is an assistant professor in the Department of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Tangible User Interfaces (TUI), and data visualization. She is a core member of the Laboratory for Advanced Visualization and Applications (LAVA) and co-founded the Hawaii Creative and Technology Lab (HiCat Lab). Her research focuses on developing innovative tools to support scientists' needs in collaboration and data analysis, such as the SAGE3 system, an intelligent augmentation tool for collaborative environments. In addition to her research, she is actively involved in teaching, offering advanced courses in HCI and data visualization. Nurit completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Hawaii and has accumulated extensive work experience in areas such as technology design, programming, and digital publishing.
