Wesley Willett

Wesley Willett is a leading expert in information visualization and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, where he holds the Canada Research Chair in Visual Analytics. He leads the Data Experience Lab, with a focus on applying data visualization techniques to real-world scenarios, enabling users to more intuitively understand and analyze data. His research spans information visualization, social computing, new media, and human-computer interaction, aiming to develop user-friendly tools that empower individuals to make better-informed decisions in their daily lives. Wesley earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed his postdoctoral research with the AVIZ group at INRIA-Saclay in France. His work is widely recognized for its innovative approach and practical impact.
