Tim Dwyer

Tim Dwyer is a scholar specializing in information visualization and visual analytics, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Larkins Fellow at Monash University, where he leads the Immersive Analytics Lab. He has extensive research experience in network visualization and the design of interactive data exploration, focusing on developing high-quality and aesthetically pleasing graph layout algorithms. Tim's research also explores the use of emerging technologies such as large interactive surfaces, augmented reality, and virtual reality to enhance data analysis experiences. His career includes a tenure at Microsoft as a Senior Software Development Engineer, during which he developed and deployed the Code Map tool for Visual Studio. Tim earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Sydney in 2005.
