Shan-Yuan Teng

Shan-Yuan Teng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University and leads the Dexterous Interaction Lab. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction and haptic technology, aiming to develop the next generation of multimodal interactive devices, especially haptic devices, to enhance user flexibility and perceptual experiences in virtual reality, augmented reality, wearable devices, and assistive technologies. He has published multiple papers at top conferences such as ACM CHI and UIST, earning two Best Paper Awards and five Honorable Mention Awards. Dr. Teng completed his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago under the supervision of Professor Pedro Lopes and holds a master's degree in Computer Science and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, both from National Taiwan University.
