Géry Casiez

Géry Casiez is a full professor in computer science at Université de Lille and a member of the Loki research team, jointly established by Inria (The French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation) and Université de Lille. His research focuses on the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), including the design of input devices, interaction techniques, transfer function studies, latency measurement and compensation, and noise reduction in interactive systems. Additionally, he specializes in Virtual Reality and 3D interaction, researching virtual avatars and the design of interaction techniques and input devices. Professor Casiez's academic contributions are widely published in top-tier conferences such as ACM CHI, ACM UIST, and IEEE VR. He has served as a reviewer or member of organizational committees in various academic forums. He is also a recipient of the Google Research Award in recognition of his work on latency measurement and compensation in interactive systems.
