Delvin Varghese

Delvin Varghese is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, and a member of the Action Lab. His expertise lies in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on using action research and participatory approaches (such as co-design) to develop and implement web/mobile applications for community engagement and collective action. He has collaborated with various government bodies, international nonprofits (e.g., Red Cross, Oxfam, and Caritas), and multicultural community organizations in Australia, working on public health and community development initiatives across multiple countries and regions. His research output, the "Indaba Toolkit," has been adopted by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for community media initiatives, now in use across 192 countries. His work is recognized both nationally and internationally.
