Casey Dugan

Casey Dugan is the Associate Director for Quantitative AI Research and a senior engineer at the RAND AI Security and Technology Center. Previously, she served as the Manager for the AI Experience Team at IBM Research and co-led the strategy for Human-Centered AI research. She is an expert in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) with research interests that span social media, artificial intelligence, data analytics, recommender systems, gamification, and crowdsourcing. Holding a bachelor's (S.B.) and master's (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), she has authored over 67 scientific papers and holds more than 34 patents. She has made outstanding contributions to advancing research at the intersection of HCI and AI technologies.
