Jina Suh

Jina Suh is a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research and holds a doctorate from the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. She is part of Microsoft Research’s Human Understanding and Empathy (HUE) group, focusing on developing technologies that promote emotional resilience and mental health. Her primary research interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), AI and human collaboration, mental health technologies, interpretability in machine learning, and reducing bias in machine learning. Previously, Jina Suh was a member of the Xbox development team before transitioning to academic research. Her work spans collaborative care, digital inequality, and workplace well-being, among many other areas. She is also a proud alumna of the Machine Teaching program.
