Jeff Huang

Jeff Huang is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Computer Science Department at Brown University. His research fields include human-computer interaction, information retrieval, and data science. He focuses on building personalized systems based on user behavioral data, which are widely applied in attention analysis, mobile device interaction, and health domains. His research is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Army Research Office (ARO), and he has received the NSF CAREER Award, Facebook Fellowships, and the ARO Young Investigator Program (YIP) Award. Additionally, he has led the development of several innovative projects, such as the self-calibrating WebGazer eye-tracking system and the automated social network data analysis tool for mental health, Sochiatrist.
