Andreas Bulling

Andreas Bulling is a Full Professor (W3) of Computer Science at the University of Stuttgart, where he leads the Collaborative Artificial Intelligence research group. He is also a Fellow of the globally renowned academic organization ELLIS and serves as the founding director of the Stuttgart ELLIS Unit. His research spans human-computer interaction, computer vision, and machine learning, with a focus on eye tracking technology, perceptual user interfaces, and human behavior analysis. Previously, he was a Feodor Lynen Fellow and Marie Curie Fellow at the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge; a postdoctoral researcher at Lancaster University; and a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge. From 2013 to 2018, he served as an Independent Research Group Leader at the Cluster of Excellence on Multimodal Computing and Interaction at Saarland University and was also a Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. His work has been published in leading conferences and journals in AI, computer vision, and human-computer interaction, and he has received numerous prestigious academic awards, including an ERC Starting Grant.
