Can Liu

Can Liu is an Associate Professor in the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong and leads the ERFI Lab (Laboratory of Empirical Research for Future Interfaces). Her research designs future interfaces for ubiquitous technologies from an empirical understanding of human cognition and behaviour. Her interests include speech-based multimodal interfaces, human–AI interaction, spatial computing, collaborative interaction, and technologies such as large displays, mobile surfaces, the Internet of Things and augmented reality. She conducts user experiments and develops interactive systems for public places and communities to study new interfaces in real-world contexts. Personal website School profile
