Feng Tian

Feng Tian is a professor at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a member of the State Key Laboratory of Computer Science at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He leads the Pen-Based and Multimodal User Interface research group within the Intelligent Engineering Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in 2003 from the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was a visiting scholar in 2009 at the University of California, Berkeley, where he collaborated with Professor John Canny. His research focuses on theories, interaction technologies, and tool development in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Natural User Interfaces (NUI), Pen-Based User Interfaces, and Multimodal User Interfaces. Dr. Tian has authored over 60 academic papers in HCI and co-authored the book Pen-Based User Interface with Professor Guozhong Dai. His research has been successfully applied in sports and education sectors, particularly in the training and management of China's national diving team, badminton team, and women's water polo team. Dr. Tian also serves as the chair of ACM SIGCHI China, striving to promote HCI research and international academic collaboration within China.
