Yujie Tao

Yujie Tao is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Stanford University, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. He is a member of the SHAPE Lab, under the supervision of Prof. Sean Follmer, and collaborates closely with Prof. Jeremy Bailenson at the Virtual Human Interaction Lab. Yujie's research focuses on enhancing users' sensory experiences through the design of innovative computational systems, fostering reconnection with daily interactions. His work spans virtual reality, multisensory interfaces, and psychological interventions, with significant contributions published in leading academic conferences and journals. Additionally, Yujie holds a master’s degree from the University of Chicago and dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Computer Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. He has gained experience working in product management and advertising.
