Susanne Boll

Professor Susanne Boll is an internationally renowned scholar currently serving as Professor for Media Informatics and Multimedia Systems in the Department of Computer Science at Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg in Germany. She is also a member of the executive board at OFFIS Institute for Information Technology. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction, multimedia information retrieval, semantic retrieval, intelligent user interfaces, as well as applications in Society and Industry 4.0. Professor Boll is dedicated to creating human-centered interactive technology, aiming to design a digital future based on social value and ethical responsibility. She has published over 300 papers in top international conferences such as ACM Multimedia and CHI, as well as in high-ranking journals, leveraging innovative approaches and making a significant impact in the international academic community. Additionally, she has held positions as program chair and general chair for several international conferences and serves on the editorial board of IEEE Multimedia Magazine and as associate editor for ACM Multimedia Tools and Applications.
