Harmanpreet Kaur

Harmanpreet Kaur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota, specializing in human-centered artificial intelligence research. Her work aims to address issues of explainability and trust in real-world AI applications by building more effective AI systems and enhancing human-AI collaboration. Her research spans the evaluation and design of AI explainability tools, optimizing workplace wellbeing and productivity, knowledge discovery, and sensemaking. Her work has been published in top-tier HCI conferences such as CHI, CSCW, and FAccT. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information from the University of Michigan in 2023 and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota.
