Susan R. Fussell

Susan R. Fussell is an American psychologist, communication researcher, and information scientist renowned for her significant contributions to the field of human-computer interaction. She is currently the Liberty Hyde Baily Professor in the Department of Communication and Information Science at Cornell University, as well as the director of the graduate program in Communication. Fussell's research focuses on interpersonal communication in face-to-face and computer-mediated environments, including cross-cultural communication, multilingual dialogue, tool development for facilitating energy-saving behavior, human-computer interaction, and collaborative intelligence analysis. She is a CHI Academy Fellow and served as co-chair of the ACM CHI 2017 conference.
