Yingqing Xu

Professor Xu Yingqing is a tenured professor at the Tsinghua University Academy of Arts & Design and the director of its Future Lab. Renowned for his work at the intersection of computer graphics, human-computer interaction, and art design, he was formerly a principal researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, where he gained over 12 years of experience in industrial research, publishing numerous high-impact academic papers and holding multiple patents. His research focuses on natural user interface, immersive sensory interaction, and the digitization of cultural heritage. Under his leadership, his team has accomplished significant achievements in the development of tactile graphic terminals for visually impaired individuals, the digital preservation of Dunhuang and the Forbidden City, and the conceptual designs for the 2022 Winter Olympics. As a CCF Fellow, Professor Xu is dedicated to promoting deep integration between art and science, achieving high regard in both academia and the industry.
