Gökçe Elif Baykal

Gökçe Elif Baykal is an Assistant Professor at Özyeğin University, specializing in interaction design and research in child-computer interaction (CCI). Her work encompasses integrating spatial thinking within virtual and augmented reality environments, blending design technologies with learning theories, and exploring technology-mediated collaborative interactions. During her academic career, she earned a PhD from Koç University and received the Graduate Excellence Award, followed by conducting postdoctoral research at Aarhus University. She has also demonstrated her diverse skills in design and education by creating children's television series for TRT Çocuk. In 2022, she was awarded the Turkish Academy of Sciences Outstanding Young Scientist Award (BAGEP) in the Education/Design category and serves as the head of the Design Interactions Lab.
