Aya Mouallem

Aya Mouallem, born in 1998 in Beirut, Lebanon, is an electrical engineer, researcher, and a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University. She is the co-founder of "All Girls Code," a nonprofit organization aimed at providing programming experiences to young women in Lebanon and promoting STEM education. Her research focuses on accessibility in engineering education, specifically developing innovative tools and methods for learners with disabilities. She has advocated for women's participation in STEM on various international platforms and contributed to multiple social initiatives, including the Beirut Port Explosion relief database team and the MIT Lebanon Challenge. Her work has been widely covered by media outlets such as The New York Times and Cosmopolitan Middle East.
