Jessica Roberts

Jessica Roberts is an associate professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology and the director of the Technology-Integrated Learning Environments (TILEs) Lab. She holds a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and focuses on research in geospatial analysis and visualization for informal learning. Her research examines technology-mediated social learning experiences, particularly in museums, citizen science initiatives, and other self-directed learning environments. As a former middle-school teacher and theater designer, she integrates her background into human-computer interaction and data visualization design, aiming to develop technologies that promote collaboration and engagement in learning. Her research has been showcased at prestigious venues such as the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, the New York Hall of Science, and Smithsonian Institution museums.
