Florian Alt

Florian Alt is a Full Professor of Media Informatics in the Department of Computer Science at LMU Munich. His research focuses on designing secure and privacy-preserving systems, with a particular emphasis on enhancing security mechanisms through user behavior (e.g., behavioral biometrics) and physiological signals, as well as addressing threats in ubiquitous computing environments. His work spans several application areas, including smart homes, social engineering, authentication, and mixed reality. Academically, Florian Alt has actively contributed to leading conferences in Human-Computer Interaction and Ubiquitous Computing (e.g., CHI, IMWUT/UbiComp) as a committee member and has received multiple academic awards. Previously, he served as a Full Professor of Usable Security and Privacy at the Cyber Defense Research Center of the University of Bundeswehr Munich and has accrued extensive research and practical experience with various international institutions and organizations.
