Yoshihiro Kawahara

Yoshihiro Kawahara is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo. He specializes in research on computer networks, ubiquitous computing, and mobile computing. His primary research interests focus on developing autonomous information and communication devices through energy harvesting and wireless power transmission technologies. He has designed and developed several innovative projects such as ‘Instant Inkjet Circuits’ and ‘Multi-hop Wireless Power Transmission.’ Professor Kawahara has published papers at numerous top-tier international conferences and received multiple awards, including the ACM Ubicomp Best Paper Award. In addition to research, he is actively involved in entrepreneurship and industry collaboration, serving as a technical advisor to AgIC, Inc., and SenSprout, Inc. He has also been a visiting assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the MIT Media Lab.
