Anusha Withana

Dr. Anusha Withana is an Associate Professor in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the School of Computer Science, University of Sydney, and a member of Sydney Nano and the Charles Perkins Centre. His research focuses on pioneering device development that integrates the user's body with the environment (hybrid interfaces), with particular emphasis on electronic skin, wearable technologies, and multimodal interactions. He previously served as a postdoctoral researcher at Saarland University and the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Germany and completed his doctoral research at Keio University in Japan, specializing in the integration of multimodal interaction systems. His work has been published in leading international conferences and journals and has been supported by numerous grants, including the prestigious ARC DECRA Fellowship.
