Paul Strohmeier

Dr. Paul Strohmeier is a specialist in Human-Computer Interaction, with a focus on haptics, body-centric interface design, and sensor technologies. He currently leads the Sensorimotor Interaction Group at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, collaborating closely with Saarland University. His research employs psychophysics to explore the interaction between human perception and action, especially in relation to improving human-computer experiences through hardware design and cutting-edge sensor technologies. He earned his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen, where his research on body-centric interfaces earned him the SIGCHI Outstanding Paper Award. Paul's work aims to push the boundaries of human-technology integration, paving the way for breakthroughs in remote training, skill sharing, and prosthetics technology.
