Sara Nabil

Sara Nabil is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing at Queen's University and the Founder and Director of the iStudio research lab. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Smart Textiles, Wearable Computing, and Designing for Digital Living. As an interdisciplinary researcher, her work integrates computer science, art, and design to develop technological solutions for marginalized communities, such as individuals with physical disabilities, those with dual identities, and self-isolating individuals. Her research has received numerous awards, and her design works have been exhibited worldwide, including at places like the Lakeside Arts Gallery in the UK. She is an advocate for gender equality and cultural diversity and actively supports women in pursuing research and careers in STEM fields.
