Bing-Yu Chen

Bing-Yu Chen (Chinese name: Chen Bing-Yu) is currently the Deputy Minister of the National Science and Technology Council, as well as the Dean and CEO of the College of Design and Innovation at National Taiwan University. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Tokyo and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University. Professor Chen's research areas include computer graphics, human-computer interaction, and image/video processing. With extensive experience in academia, he has published over 310 academic papers and has been cited more than 5,000 times. As a distinguished educator and researcher, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of innovation education and technological research.
