Daniela Mitterberger

Daniela Mitterberger is an Austrian architect and researcher specializing in digital fabrication, human-computer interaction, and extended reality (XR) technologies. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Princeton University School of Architecture and leads the Extended Augmented Architecture Laboratory (XAIA). Daniela was previously a Senior Researcher and Co-Director of the Immersive Design Lab at ETH Zürich and earned her PhD from ETH Zürich in 2023. Her research encompasses adaptive digital fabrication and human-machine collaboration, aiming to place humans at the center of digital planning and architectural manufacturing. Daniela is also the co-founder of the interdisciplinary architecture and media art studio MAEID, whose work has been recognized and exhibited globally, including at the Venice Biennale and Milan Triennale.
