Sean Munson

Sean A. Munson is a professor and associate chair in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, and an adjunct professor in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering. His research focuses on personal informatics, health technologies, and the design of socio-technical systems aimed at helping individuals understand and use their own data to improve health and well-being. He is also a co-director of the UW ALACRITY Center, dedicated to redesigning mental health interventions to enhance sustainability and impact. Additionally, he is a member of the DUB Design Alliance and the SIGCHI Interactive Health Steering Committee. Sean has received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and multiple teaching awards, and has published numerous high-impact papers in academia and technology.
