Britney Johnson

Britney Johnson is a research assistant currently pursuing her doctoral degree at Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on data and its societal impact, with a passion for exploring the intersection of culture and technology, particularly in the areas of social impact and civic engagement. She has a strong interest in inclusivity and representation, working to promote equity and diversity within the tech industry. Prior to joining MIT Media Lab, she gained extensive research and hands-on experience at institutions such as Duke University, NASA, University of Oxford, and Adobe. Britney holds a Master's degree in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Leadership Studies from Hampton University. Her professional goal is to drive positive cultural and societal change through technology design and research.
