Magy Seif El-Nasr

Magy Seif El-Nasr is a Professor and Chair of the Computational Media Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She also holds the UC Presidential Chair position. She leads the Game User Interaction and Intelligence Lab (GUII Lab) and serves as Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Games. Her research focuses on serious games, game design, game data science, user experience, affective computing, and the applications of artificial intelligence in interactive systems. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Northwestern University and has secured over $36.6 million in research funding, publishing more than 130 conference papers and 38 journal articles. Magy Seif El-Nasr is widely recognized in both academia and industry, having received several awards for her research and leadership, and worked with notable companies such as Electronic Arts and Benshi.ai.
