Konstantin Beznosov

Konstantin (Kosta) Beznosov is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the founder and director of the Laboratory for Education and Research in Secure Systems Engineering (LERSSE). His research explores various aspects of cybersecurity and privacy, including usable security, AI security, systems security, and security and privacy in online social networks. Before joining UBC, he worked as a security architect in two consulting and R&D startups, where he designed security integration solutions for distributed enterprise applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Florida International University and has published extensively in the field of security engineering for distributed systems. He co-authored books such as Enterprise Security with EJB and CORBA and Mastering Web Services Security. Additionally, he has served on program committees for several top international academic conferences.
