Yue Huang

Yue Huang is a research scientist focusing on human-centered security, currently working at CSIRO's Data61 in Australia. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her research areas encompass data security and privacy, particularly in usable security and privacy. Her work centers on addressing security, privacy, and user experience (UX) challenges in information tracking solutions, such as contact tracing apps, digital travel permits, and visitor registration systems, especially during the pandemic. Additionally, her research explores users' security and privacy concerns when sharing smart home devices and online accounts. Her studies contribute theoretical insights for future design and offer practical advice to tackle privacy and security issues in technology use.
