Katherine W Song

Katherine W. Song is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology, as part of the Knowledge and Intelligence Design (KInD) research group. Her research focuses on the field of Human-Computer Interaction, specifically the design and development of decomposable and sustainable interactive electronic systems. She integrates natural materials, electronic design, and artificial intelligence to explore how degradable and active materials can be utilized to create innovative hardware architectures and interactive systems. Before joining Delft University of Technology, she completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a Display Electrical Engineer at Apple. Her work has garnered attention in academic circles and has advanced technology within the field of sustainable design.
