Carla Griggio

Carla F. Griggio is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Aalborg University, specializing in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her research primarily focuses on communication technologies, particularly messaging applications, and their impact on interpersonal relationships. She conducts empirical studies exploring how users adapt software to meet their communication needs and develops prototypes to offer richer expressions and relationship management controls. Currently, her research is centered on interoperability among messaging applications and alternative software models for online communication. Previously, she worked in the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University and at the IIS Laboratory at the University of Tokyo, completing her PhD dissertation on "Designing for Messaging Application Ecosystems" at Université Paris-Saclay and Inria.
