Michael S. Bernstein

Michael S. Bernstein is a Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, and a Bass University Fellow in Undergraduate Education. His research focuses on the design of social computing systems, modeling social behavior, and human-computer interaction technologies. He is the author of a national bestseller, an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship awardee, and a recipient of the Computer History Museum’s "Technology for Humanity" award. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University, as well as a Master’s and PhD in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work has been featured in renowned outlets such as The New York Times, TED AI, and MIT Technology Review.
