Mirjana Prpa

Mirjana Prpa is a researcher and educator specializing in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). She is currently an Assistant Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), where she focuses on research in computing media and arts. Her work revolves around developing immersive virtual environments that help users regulate their emotional states through mindfulness and breathing, while exploring micro-phenomenological methods to gain a deeper understanding of user experience. Academically, she is recognized for her interdisciplinary research perspective and innovative design approaches, combining art, science, and technology to advance the frontiers of these fields.
