Regan Mandryk

Dr. Regan Mandryk is an esteemed scholar in human-computer interaction and game research, currently serving as a Professor at the University of Victoria. She completed her Ph.D. in Computing Science at Simon Fraser University, where she pioneered the field of emotional physiological assessment in computer games. Her primary research interests include human-computer interaction, games for health and well-being, affective computing, and game toxicity. Dr. Mandryk has achieved remarkable academic success, with over 200 published papers and citations exceeding 10,000, including seminal works recognized as classic papers in HCI by Google Scholar. She has been invited as a keynote speaker at international game conferences and has been awarded the E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Her work focuses on promoting mental health through games, particularly in the assessment and intervention of anxiety and depression.
