Sumit Gulwani

Sumit Gulwani is a Distinguished Scientist and Vice President at Microsoft. His work spans agentic AI, AI-assisted programming, neuro-symbolic AI, and human-AI collaboration. He built Microsoft's PROSE research and engineering organization. His work includes Flash Fill in Excel and program-synthesis technologies shipped across Microsoft products. He is a Fellow of ACM and AAIA, and received the 2021 Max Planck-Humboldt Medal and the 2014 ACM SIGPLAN Robin Milner Young Researcher Award.
