Matin Yarmand

Matin Yarmand is an Assistant Professor in Software and Information Systems at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, focusing on the intersection of human-computer interaction, educational technology, and medical technology. His research specializes in developing embedded learning systems through artificial intelligence and human-centered design to address training needs in complex fields such as medical internship training and driver skill development. He is a member of several research centers, including the Human-Centered Computing Lab (HCC Lab), the Center for Educational Innovation and Research (CEIR), and the Center for Human-AI Synergy (CHAIS). Matin earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia.
