Wanda Pratt

Wanda Pratt is a Professor and Interim Ph.D. Chair at the University of Washington Information School, with an adjunct professorship in Biomedical & Health Informatics at the UW Medical School (BIME profile). Her research examines the work people do to manage their health and how new technologies can support that work and reduce its burden; it also addresses problems patients face in finding, using, and managing health information, as well as patient-physician communication and collaboration (UW iSchool; BIME). Her recent work focuses on people from historically marginalized or underestimated communities, including transgender and gender-diverse people, youth, and people with disabilities, with a current emphasis on inclusion and health equity (personal bio).

She previously served as the Information School’s inaugural Associate Dean for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Sovereignty (IDEAS), and participates in the University of Washington’s Design, Use, Build (DUB) community (personal bio).
