Patricia Piedade

Patricia Piedade is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science and Engineering, currently affiliated with the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI) and INESC-ID, conducting research at the University of Lisbon. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction and Inclusive Design, striving to create more inclusive technological solutions for neurodiverse populations. She developed PartiPlay, a participatory design toolkit that enables children to co-create engaging experiences. The toolkit has been applied in educational settings, transforming traditional classrooms and turning differences into a source of creativity. Patricia’s work has gained wide recognition, driving innovative applications of inclusive design in education and technology.
