Jotaro Shigeyama

Dr. Jotaro Shigeyama is a researcher specializing in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), currently working at Sony Corporation. His research focuses on Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and haptic technology, particularly in designing tactile and virtual experiences based on human perception. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from The University of Tokyo and completed his Ph.D. at the Hasso Plattner Institute under the supervision of Professor Patrick Baudisch. His research has been published in top international conferences such as SIGGRAPH, CHI, and UIST, and has received several awards, including CHI Best Paper Honorable Mentions and being a semi-finalist in the SIGGRAPH Student Research Competition.
