Chaeyong Park

Chanyoung Park is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and is also affiliated with the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence. He has extensive research expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Discovery, with key focus areas including Materials Science, Chemistry, Recommender Systems, Graph Neural Networks, and Data Mining. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) and has conducted research at reputable institutions such as the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Chanyoung Park has been recognized with numerous academic awards, including the KAIST Annual Teaching Excellence Award and the Samsung Humantech Paper Gold Prize. He is currently actively recruiting Ph.D., master's students, and undergraduate interns, dedicating himself to advancing applications of Artificial Intelligence in scientific discoveries.
